The consesnus of the review for RoboCop: Rouge City hangs around the average to great mark. The above reviews rate the game as low as the 60% mark at EuroGamer to being as high as 90% in the Steam user review category.

Many reviews for the first person shooter based on the classic film fell in the 70-75 percentage point based on the above listed reviews. The common elements in the reviews are that the pacing and story are not the most cohesive as well as some glitches in the early launch phase. The praise has been given to the nostalgic look and feel of the game which pays tribute to the RoboCop films. Peter Weller reprising his role as the titular chareter helped build towards the nostalgia of the game. The action gameplay and sequences have also been praised by many critics from accross the internet as well as gamers alike.
