Top 5 Young Goalkeepers in FM24

Diogo Costa

Diogo Costa was one of the best young goalkeepers to sign in FM23 and he’s still on the board in the newest instalment. His starting ability is high and he’s got great potential but buying him is going to be pricey.

Anatoli Trubin

The strong number 2 to Costa. Trubin is almost as good to start with and his potential is just a small bit lower than Costa’s. He is two years younger than Costa so will cost more due to the increased upside.

Giorgi Mamardashvili

The 22-year-old had a breakout season with Valencia and has started gaining attention from top clubs. This has been reflected in his FM24 abilities as his potential is very high and he starts the game on a similar level to Trubin. Getting Valencia to sell may be the real problem.

Filip Jorgensen

At 21 years old the Villarreal keeper is going to cost a fortune despite being a step behind the trio ahead of him on this list. He has high potential but will likely cost more than some of his peers with a lower ceiling.

Arnau Tenas

The Paris Saint-Germain shot-stopper is a project. His potential is right alongside that of Jorgensen’s but his starting ability is a step below even the Danishman’s. PSG have other goalkeepers so it is likely that Tenas won’t get adequate game time and eventually ask out, if he does, you could have a top tier goalkeeper on your hands.

Best Young Goalkeepers in FM24 – Affordable/Budget

Lucas Canizares

Young Real Madrid stopper Cannizares has one of the highest ceilings of any goalkeeper in the game. He isn’t too good to start with and he plays for Real’s B team so he should be available for a relatively low price compared to the big fees of the first five players named.

Lucas Chevalier

Lille are sitting on a real gem and he supposedly doesn’t have a big asking price. At his best, he can peak at the same level as Mamardashvili but he will require more patience as he’s a big worse than Mamardashvili to start with.

Dennis Seimen

Plying his trade for Stuttgart this teenager has one of the highest peaks possible for a young goalkeeper. Because of his age and lack low starting rating he can be got for a relatively low fee and could blossom into an elite goalkeeper.

Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro

Similar to Seimen this is a young goalkeeper who will require some patience but can become an elite goalkeeper. He is likely to cost a bit more due to the Dutch league and AZ Alkmaar being a fairly notable setup but he’s a worthy investment given his age and potential.

Tim Ronning

Now for a total budget option. Tim Ronnig plays for IF Elfsborg and could cost less than 100k in euros. His potential isn’t quite as high as the other names here but he caps out at a level just below the elite shot stoppers. For such a low cost, who could turn their nose up at that kind of potential?
