Last Word on Gaming Take
God of War Ragnarök is up for the most awards at the 2023 BAFTA Games Awards. Elden Ring is not far behind it and has cleaned house when it comes to awards, including Game of the Year. The Game of the Year award being completely fan-voted is an interesting twist that could see an upset. I feel that God of War has a good chance of taking home GOTY even against Elden Ring.
Other titles to watch out for include Horizon Forbidden West, Stray, and A Plague Tale: Requiem. Each of these games has been nominated in multiple categories and has great design and art connected to them.
