EA Sports’ mammoth FIFA series gained it’s newest edition in October when FIFA 21 released. According to Mar Piscatella of the NPD Group FIFA 21 topped the sales charts for October across all platforms both physical and digital. Here’s how the chart shakes out
- FIFA 21
- Madden NFL 21 (Up From 3rd)
- Watch Dogs: Legion
- NHL 21
- Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit
- Super Mario 3D All-Stars (Down from 2nd)
- Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Up from 8th)
- Star Wars: Squadrons (Up from 9th)
- Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare (Down from 6th
- Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (Up from 11th
Predictably, FIFA 21 also topped both the PlayStation and Xbox (which had it’s largest launch in history) charts beating out Madden and Watch Dogs in both for the month of October. Interestingly, it failed to rank on the Nintendo chart (probably owing to its incredibly low review scores). Fans likely caught on to the lack of work that was put into the Nintendo port of the game.
As it was the release month for EA’s soccer simulator game sales were always expected to be quite high, whether they can keep that going strong as the months go on remains to be seen but the powerhouse game is likely to remain high in the charts for many months to come
