Team Jade is tapping into old-school gaming roots with Delta Force’s new Detonation Mode (beta), and it feels just like Classic Counter-Strike 1.6.

On 26th September, 2026, @DeltaForce_Game took to its official X account to announce the Detonation Mode (beta). The new 5v5 mode is set to go live on the 27th September.

Delta Force is celebrating its second anniversary this week. And the new tactical mode is a part of this year’s celebrations. Available on both PC and mobile, the beta launch event runs through 9th November, 2026.

This competitive mode borrows heavily from the tactical formula of Counter-Strike 1.6, where an attacking team and a defending team attempt to outplay one another. Let’s take a look at the complete gameplay details of the new Detonation Mode in Delta Force.

Delta Force Detonation Mode Details

Drawing inspiration from Counter-Strike, the Detonation Mode is a 5v5 round-based mode. Players select unique operators. But they cannot have duplicate operators on the same team.

There are a total of 16 playable rounds. The first team that wins 9 rounds is crowned ‌the winner. Every round lasts for 1 minute and 55 seconds.

The attacking team’s objective is to plant a bomb and defend it or eliminate all the defenders. On the other hand, the defending team’s objective is to eliminate the attacking team or defuse the planted bomb.

In this format, players are given alloy to purchase weapons, attachments, and more.
