1666 Amsterdam Early Access is live right now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store following its appearance at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026.
Having undergone a 15-year-long development journey, the game is finally in early access. Leading up to the big reveal in the opening night of Gamescom 2026, Panache Digital Games carried out a multi-month promotional rollout.
In addition to the 1666 Amsterdam Early Access announcement, at the Gamescom 2026 Opening Night, we also saw the release of the 1666 Amsterdam launch trailer. From the in-game characters to gameplay, the new look of the trailer certainly raised the expectations of the gaming community further.
The 1666 Amsterdam early access is there for players to provide active feedback to Panache Digital Games, as they plan on improving and polishing the game further.

1666 Amsterdam Early Access: What We Know So Far
In 1666 Amsterdam, you will play as a witch who was accused of starting a plague. While avoiding the authorities and surviving, your job is to uncover the true secrets behind the corruption in the city.
Accompanied by a loyal cat companion, you can use magic to control animals around you to sneak past enemies and solve the puzzles to progress.
The main character of the game, which is played by you, is known as Noa Booklyn. The partner of the main character is known as Aaron (the cat). Players can choose between Noa Booklyn and Aaron.
