Marvel Tokon is releasing soon, with the August 6 launch date looking final, without further delays. The 2D brawler featuring Marvel heroes and villains already has 20 characters planned to be released at launch! To make things easier for players to understand, there will be a total of 5 factions within the game, with 4 characters helping each faction out. Factions at Launch in Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls
As far as the gameplay is concerned, the faction system explains how heroes will call in “assists” from their allies during a fight. A faction is also important in this fighting game for lore reasons. However, so far, the game has not revealed any other significant gameplay tips surrounding each faction, as players will be able to assemble their own teams, including four heroes. If the factions give players a certain competitive advantage, Last Word on Gaming will chime you in on the tips once the Open Beta testing has begun.
That said, lore-wise, the following heroes, villains, and anti-heroes are aligned together in the game, completing the 20 launch characters:
- Unbreakable X-Men: Storm, Magik, Wolverine, Danger
- Amazing Guardians: Spider-Man, Ms Marvel, Star-Lord, Peni Parker
- Fighting Avengers: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Hulk
- Knights of Doom: Doctor Doom, Magneto, Green Goblin, Carnage
- Samurai Outriders: Ghost Rider, Blade, Deadpool, Loki

While Ghost Rider was revealed a while back, the complete Samurai Outriders faction wasn’t revealed until recently. Blade is the last character to join our playable heroes and villains at launch. He will also be available to play as during the open beta testing. Soon, it will be time to see which faction is the best out of all five.
