FM24 Best Young CAM

Phil Phoden

Manchester City have produced a real top talent in Phil Phoden. The 23-year-old is a key part of their attack and in FM24 he has the potential to get even better. He does have an asking price that’s quite high but he’d be a top CAM to pick up.

Pedri

Although he mainly operates as a CM, Pedri can be pushed up further and be just as adept. He starts FM24 as a great player and has some room to improve in the future which would put him among football’s elite.

Gavi

Similar to Pedri, he is a CM at heart but can be pushed further forward. In this game, he has even higher potential than either Foden or Pedri which means you can turn him into one of the best player’s in the game with some patience.

Jamal Musiala

The former Chelsea graduate has been a revalation for Bayern Munich and already put his stamp on the team. He’s still only 20 and his potential in this game is higher than almost anyone, Gavi could beat him out eventually, but Musiala is more of a sure thing.

Dejan Kulusevski

One of Tottenham’s key attacking outlets can play anywhere across the front line. He tends to operate as a winger but he’s at home in the middle of the park and has a high ceiling. Not as high as some others on this list but one worthy of attention for any manager.

FM24 Best CAM – Affordable/Budget CAMs

Estevao

Currently playing for Palmeiras in Brazil Estevao has a similar ceiling to that of Gavi and Musiala. The issue is, he’s only 16 and not very highly rated ability-wise. He’s got a massive ceiling, especially for such a low asking price, but it will take quite some time for him to reach that peak.

Wilfried Gnonto

The Leeds United man has been a common fixture on these lists but that is due to his relatively low price tag and his ability to play as a striker as well as an attacking midfielder. He’s got the physical traits of a striker and the ability to score which could make him and excellent attacking midfielder.

Sergio Arribas

Potentially pushing the definition of cheap, Arribas is available for about 40 million off the bat. He’s got a high ceiling and starts at a solid ability rating. His free kick ability could be a major boost as he’s likely to score from set pieces or assist thanks to his high crossing stat. He’s got physical attributes, flair, technique, and the all around on-ball skills needed to be a great CAM.

Rodrigo Mora

FC Porto potentially have a gem on their hands in the 16-year-old Mora. Like Estevao he doesn’t start with a high ability rating so he will require patience but if he hits the highest potential afforded to him, he’ll be a good player. The makings of a good midfielder are already there with his first touch, dribbling, and flair.

Tommaso Baldanzi

Baldanzi will be a player who fluctuates from save to save but there’s a great bargain in there if you get the right mix. He starts off at a solid rating and will either peak soon after or improve a tonne. He can dribble, score, pass, and works well off the ball which makes him an annoyance for opposition defenses at the number 10 spot.
