FM24 Wonderkid XI Tactics & Players

GK – Anatoli Trubin (Benfica)/Lucas Chevalier (Lille)

Some goalkeepers turn out better but their potential tends to fluctuate from save to save depending on their environment and game time. For a more certain future in goals the best option is Benfica’s Anatoli Trubin who starts well and has great potential.

For a cheaper option, Lille’s Chevalier will cost a lot less but needs more time to reach his peak and will peak at a lower ceiling than Trubin.

LB – Alejandro Balde (Barcelona)/Valentin Barco (Boca Juniors)

Balde is one of the best young left backs in the world and is the latest in a long line of strong Barcelona youth products. His development curve in FM24 is huge and he will improve to the level of the best LBs in the game. The only issue might be his price tag so you either have to play as Barcelona or create a club and get him on hand if you want to pick him up.

Barco is a cheaper option who is gaining some real-world attention for his performances in Argentina.

CB – Giorgio Scalvini (Atalanta)/Levi Colwill (Chelsea)

These are two young CBs who have been FM monsters already. Scalvini was one of the elite CBs to sign in last year’s game and remains so in this year’s edition. He and Colwill are sure to be an expensive defensive pairing but they will undoubtedly form an iron wall in front of your goalkeeper.

There aren’t many cheap wonderkid CBs to pick from as alternatives but I would recommend Flavien-Enzo Boyomo, Maxime Esteve, Amidou Doumbouya, or Jaime Vazquez as other choices.

RB – Rico Lewis (Man City)/Michael Kayode (Fiorentina)

Having already broken into the mighty Pep Guardiola’s first team it’s no surprise that Lewis is the best right-back wonderkid in FM24. Lewis has high potential, the highest of any of the RBs under 21 although there are some circumstances where others will progress to be a bit better than him.

Michael Kayode is a “cheaper” option from Serie A who has high potential and can operate as a wing-back.

DM – Moises Caicedo (Chelsea)/ Andre (Fluminese)

Moises Caicedo is one of the Premier League’s best playbreakers. As a defensive midfielder he breaks up opposition attacks and can free up your other midfielders to charge forward. The only issue is, Chelsea are unlikely to let him leave so he’s going to be a difficult one to buy.

Andre is a cheaper option who could be Liverpool bound in reality. That should tell you enough about his energy ad ability on the pitch.

CM – Warren-Zaire Emery (PSG)/Gavi (Barcelona)

Like some other entries its unlikely you’ll be able to buy either player as they both have ridiculous ability and potential. Gavi’s buyout clause is about 1 billion so good luck with that.

As far as cheaper alternatives go there is Edoardo Bove, Noah Darvich, Sverre Halseth Nypan, and Archie Gray.

LW – Lamine Yamal (Barcelona)/Mohamed Daramy (Reims)

Lamine Yamal is considered one of the best young players in the entire world (alongside Chelsea-bound Kendry Paez) and FM24 has made him an absolute monster. He develops into an incredible, title-winning calibre player and can be pried away from Barcelona if you’re willing to stack the deal in their favor.

Mohamed Daramy is a cheaper alternative who won’t peak as high but in a crowded and overpriced market his skillset and price are worth the effort.

RW – Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)/Michael Olise (Crystal Palace)

Saka is Arsenal’s star boy for a reason. He has set the Premier League and European football alight as part of the Gunner’s revival under Mikel Arteta. He’s very difficult to purchase in FM24 but no FM24 Wonderkid XI is complete without him.

Michael Olise is a relatively cheaper alternative who plays for Crystal Palace and almost made the move to Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City this past summer.

A sneaky third option is youngster Estevao who deserves a spot on this list somewhere. He is only 16 and mainly operates as a CAM but he can play in the RW spot as an inverted left-footed winger.

ST – Endrick (Real Madrid)/Wilfried Gnonto (Leeds United)

Endrick still plays for Palmerias but has an agreement to join Real Madrid in place. He has an incredibly high ceiling in FM24 but his future arrangements make him a difficult player to pry away from his parent club.

Gnonto is a cheaper alternative who could be easy to pick up as Leeds are currently playing in the Championship. He’s got all the physical attributes of a great striker
