NACON and its development studio KT Racing (in collaboration with WRC Promoter) have announced that the eSports WRC Championship 2022 will kick off on the 4th of February. This is the sixth consecutive season of the championship, running on WRC 10, the official game of the FIA World Rally Championship.
WRC (World Rally Championship) is popular with both gamers and professional drivers, and WRC 10 adds some extra challenges into the mix with new special stages.
Big Names Competing for the WRC Championship
The WRC eSports Championship is open for all WRC 10 players. This gives some of the most prestigious teams the chance to compete again! The 2021 championship saw more than 15,000 players, competing in 13 rounds. This culminated in the final, live from Athens during EKO Acropolis Rally Greece.
Among the teams competing this year are Virtual Best Racing, the Race Clutch, and Team Williams. It’s going to be an exciting competition.
According to previous champion and Race Clutch teammate Lohan ‘Nexl’ Blanc, 2022 is going to be a challenge: ‘I’ve had time to train on this new version of the game, the driving sensations on some of the special stages are incredible, sometimes very difficult.’
