While there are some typically small titles in this batch the eye-catchers are obviously God Of War, Nioh 2, and Red Dead Redemption 2.  Red Dead Redemption 2 is still heralded as one of the greatest releases in recent gaming history.  Despite releasing in 2018 the Rockstar production is still a massive addition to PlayStation’s cloud-based service.  This is likely why it is only available on the service until November 1, 2021.

The more understandable but still exciting additions are Nioh 2 and God Of War. God Of War, also released in 2018, was the revival of a beloved series and balanced the series’ need for violence with great visuals and even better characters.  God Of War is an excellent addition to the service and an easy recommendation to any with the service.  Nioh 2 released just last year and has achieved critical success, it is arguably the most surprising member of this lineup but is one that could entice people to subscribe to the on-demand service.

While the Xbox Game Pass tends to steal headlines Playstation has its own potential game-changer in PSNow that is quietly becoming a service loaded with fantastic games from recent history.  While there are some additions in this round that aren’t very exciting, like the timely Olympics based game, the addition of three top games certainly shows some ambition on Sony‘s part
