Insomniac’s Wolverine criticism is no secret to the gaming industry now. For the masses out there, as well as the reviewers, the title turned out to be quite a disappointment in terms of overall experience. Wolverine Attempts To Fix Major Issues

As per the Marvel lore, Logan has heightened senses, allowing him to track sounds and smells with precision. Insomniac’s Wolverine attempted to visualize this for the first time in a video game. So, whichever section had Logan tracking a scent showed a floating, pretty solid-looking, blue-colored trail leading up to the objective, which the internet found “patronizing”. Even the audio cues in the game were pretty visible. When looking for a hidden weapon cache, players had to look for the “audio sense,” which was pretty visible even through obstructions, making the “hidden” objectives not so hidden.

A new patch was added to the game today as v1.001.005, which attempts to fix both of these issues that were not already available as a change in the accessibility menu under Settings. The hotfix added fixes for some bugs that a small percentage of players were facing at launch, along with a less intense version of both of these “visual senses” for Wolverine. However, the developer team at Insomniac also promises to keep a close eye on how to further improve the experience of players by optimizing these senses and potentially adding a toggleable option if possible, something which fans have been asking for since the reviews dropped.

With this, there is also hope of a new update potentially dropping soon, which may update the game’s much-requested cosmetic feature.
