5 Best Warbonds in Helldivers 2

Kaif Ali August 26, 2026

Helldivers 2 was released on PC and PS5 in February 2024. Several months later, the game came out on Xbox Series X/S in August 2025. This was the brief, peaceful era before Sony decided not to end the console wars anytime soon. Now, in August 2026, the popular extraction shooter has finally come to the PS Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe tiers, rushing in some fresh deployments to uphold Super Earth’s mission across the galaxy.

New players risk getting misguided or wasting their resources because they are not familiar with the game. This is where this list comes in to help you figure out what your next Warbond should be!

Best Warbonds In Helldivers 2

When starting a game, players will be gifted a free Warbond called Helldivers Mobilize. This battle pass is nothing too special, but essential to start the game the right way and learn power scaling gradually. But after that, players are free to choose which Warbond they wish to buy.

Helldivers in Helldivers 2 can spend the premium currency of the game, Super Credits, to buy Warbonds. While usual premium Warbonds cost 1000 SC, Legendary ones cost around 1500 SC and are often collaborations. With so many options to choose from, here’s a ranked list of progressively better Warbonds, ending with the Warbond that every diver should have.

Kindly note that the list is subjective and can differ in experience based on the difficulty level, squad skill, and the current buffs/nerfs.

1. Chemical Agents

The gas grenade and gas guard dog obtained through this Warbond are the poison you need to cut through Terminid hordes. While these crowd control options are amazing against those pesky bugs, they are still decent against other factions.

2. Servants of Freedom

Players who buy this Warbond will gain access to the Double Edge Sickle. This energy-based weapon can involve high risk but also gives off high rewards, especially against Illuminates, who are arguably the most annoying faction in the game. If this wasn’t enough, players will also get access to the Ultimatum, which is a grenade-launching pistol, a sidearm that carries heat against all factions. This Warbond in Helldivers 2 also contains the Hellbomb backpack, which can come in clutch for chaotic moments.

3. Polar Patriots

Right off the bat, this Warbond gives Helldivers 2 players access to the Tenderizer, a gun that is good against all factions alike. Another versatile weapon that it comes with is the Purifier. One more weapon to send all three factions back to their makers.

4. Urban Legends

This Warbond offers an armor passive that increases ammo and reload speed for several weapons in the game, making it a clutch option for new, intermediate, and advanced players. A great Stratagem that it offers to all Helldivers 2 players is the Anti-Tank Emplacement. It shreds all heavily armored enemies in the vicinity and gives you the satisfaction of shooting them down yourself!

5. Democratic Detonation

Last, but definitely one that all fresh Helldivers 2 players must get as a priority, is the Democratic Detonation Warbond. If you are looking for a “one-shot” weapon in this game, you will get access to the “Thermite”. This throwable will destroy large, tanky enemies with just one throw! The Eruptor and the Crossbow are also both very versatile explosive weapons, useful against all enemy factions. Once again, you will get access to the “Grenade Pistol,” which lets you shut down bug holes, bot fabricators, and Illuminate warp ships without having to consume your precious throwables.

There are several factors at play when making an extraction successful. So, we urge you to make an informed decision despite this detailed list.
