It’s still swimming season in Marvel Rivals Season 9.5, and it wouldn’t make much sense without everyone’s favorite Jeff the Land Shark joining the party. When the Hellfire Bay-Beach map was first announced, it was accompanied by some water-traversal emotes. This means that these emotes could be used to move while emoting, but only in water, which was found on the non-combat beach map accessible through Times Square. However, what came as a disappointment to many players was that Jeff the Land Shark didn’t get a traversal emote! This stopped him from exploring the deep waters of Krakoa when he was small or regular-sized. But now, he can!
Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 Invites Jeff To Swimming Party
With more summer costumes announced for Marvel Rivals Season 9.5, more heroes will be getting the water-traversal emote. One of them is Jeff the Land Shark, but his deal is a bit different. He is an aquatic creature, after all. And now, he remembers his true biology.
Our little half-shark pal can swim using the following simple steps:
- Head to the Krakoa Hellfire Bay-Beach either through the Events tab or by entering Times Square and taking a portal to the exotic mutant island.
- Make sure you are playing as Jeff the Land Shark.
- Simply walk up to the shore and Deadpool’s “sweet little shark-dog thing” will automatically start swimming in the water! No paid emotes needed.
This patch note has now been applied to Marvel Rivals Season 9.5, meaning players can hop on, head to the beach, and make Jeff realize his true potential in the game. Unfortunately, the water-traversal emotes are not available on combat maps. And since Jeff’s new free gift isn’t an “emote” at all, the animation can only be enjoyed on the Hellfire Bay-Beach map. NetEase Games may make the animation available on other future maps too, but the community will have to wait for that.
