Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 has marked the return of Lady Loki!
The Norse “Goddess of Mischief” blessed the community with her presence on January 2, 2026 – a perfect way to start the new year as a Loki main in Marvel Rivals. This was the first-ever gender-swap costume for a hero on the playable roster, making it an exceptionally special release. Additionally, the costume was only available for a limited time before NetEase took it off the Store. Now, it’s back again.

Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 Welcomes Lady Loki Yet Again
The first wave of the summer costumes started with Marvel Rivals Season 9, with the release of Jubilee. Several heroes got new summer costumes, including Loki. However, it wasn’t like last year; instead, the Lady Loki variant, voiced by Abby Trott, who also voices Magik in the game, returned for a swimsuit special costume! If a costume getting its own costume wasn’t enough, NetEase is bringing back the original Lady Loki skin. The original costume will be available in the Store for a limited time starting from August 13, 2026, 9 am UTC to August 28, 2026, 2 am UTC.
The reason why they are returning the original Lady Loki skin to the Store seems pretty clear. It’s because NetEase is also dropping a free massive cosmetic upgrade to both Lady Loki costumes in Marvel Rivals Season 9.5. In the latest patch dropped in the game on August 13 UTC, they gave a whole new essence to Loki’s female version.
The latest patch notes revealed that the developers had been cooking up a new set of animations for both Lady Loki skins. That’s right. Not only does she get her own Lord icon, specifically changed voice lines, and a summer costume, Lady Loki will also get new animations in Marvel Rivals Season 9.5. Players who own either of the two costumes will automatically notice the change in certain gameplay animations. Previously, NetEase had used the default Loki animations, which felt a bit traditionally masculine, while the new ones let Loki truly fit into the “Lady” aspect of things, making it a flawless affair on the battlefield.
