When Tides Turn just announced Wreckreation 2, which will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S consoles, and PC.
For a while now, the team behind the game has been closely connected to the players, incorporating their valuable feedback to refine the events, control model, progression system, and more.
While When Tides Turn is an independent studio, the game largely has the same development team who were behind the original title.
Despite facing early challenges, the team behind the game continued with their original idea. In contrast to the original game, Wreckreation 2 will be more compact and a detailed sequel.

Wreckreation 2: What Can We Expect?
Fiona Sperry, the former head of Criterion Games, is leading the development team behind Wreckreation 2. Instead of the Live Mix feature, Wreckreation 2 will focus more on the chaotic arcade mode.
Expect close-quarter racing, devastating crashes, aggressive gameplay, and much more chaos from the sequel. From industrial docks to railways, players can enjoy the rich experience of racing through different settings throughout Heartbreak City.
Even though the original game experienced a mixed response after its release, from the first look of the game on the official YouTube channel, the community is excited for its sequel.
As of right now, there is no Wreckreation 2 release date announced. However, the playtest is expected to be open soon. There are rumors that the playtest will be open for Patreon users only, but nothing is official yet.
