The Marvel Rivals Season 9 roadmap is out, and there is a lot packed into the coming weeks. From a brand new hero to a full map addition, character reworks, PvE content, and a steady stream of costumes, Season 9 is clearly not taking a quiet approach to its launch window.

Marvel Rivals Season 9 Roadmap details breakdown
The season kicks off with a significant amount dropping on day one on July 10. Jubilee arrives as the newest hero, bringing her own launch costume in the Midnight Mutant skin. Alongside her debut, the update includes a Team-Up Ability overhaul and a Black Widow character rework, both of which will likely shift how certain compositions are built going into the new season.
The new Battle Pass, The Faith-Harvesting Engine, also goes live on July 10, alongside two new events: Death of Apocalypse and The Resurrection of the Horsemen.

Marvel Rivals Season 9 Week 2 content: July 17
The second week brings a new event and another round of costumes. The Van Dyne Couture event goes live on July 17, and the costume additions for the week are:
- Gambit: Horsemen of Death
- Hawkeye: Van Dyne Designs
- Devil Dinosaur: Jeff the Dinosaur
Marvel Rivals Season 9 new map Thebes: July 24
Week three brings the most significant structural addition of the mid-season stretch. Thebes arrives as a brand new map on July 24, which is the kind of addition that tends to shift the conversation around how the game plays at a fundamental level. New costumes arriving alongside it:
- Hela: Temple Protectors
- Psylocke: Horsemen of Death

Marvel Rivals Season 9 PvE mode and major costume drop: July 31
The final week of July is arguably the most packed. A new PvE mode, Path to Doomsday: Avengers Age of Ultron, launches on July 31, giving players something outside the standard competitive format to engage with. The Marvel Rivals Ignite Series Mid-Season Finals are also scheduled for this week.
The costume lineup for July 31 is the largest single-week drop of the season:
- Spider-Man: Brand New Day
- Hulk: Spider-Man: Brand New Day
- Scarlet Witch: Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Winter Soldier: Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Marvel Rivals Season 9.5 begins: August 7
Season 9.5 kicks off on August 7, with the development team confirming that more content is coming but holding back specific details for now. Further announcements are expected as that date gets closer.
