The PlayStation Showcase took place on May 24th and offered plenty of announcements for gamers to take in. One of the biggest announcements to come out of the showcase was the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, along with ports for the original three games for PlayStation 5.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Announced for PlayStation 5
The remake will be titled Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (stylized with the greek symbol for Delta). The game will be a remake of the hit from nearly 20 years ago. Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater.
Gamers will be put back into the boots of Big Boss as he infiltrates enemy territory during the cold war. The remake promises to be faithful to the original but with updated graphics that will immerse gamers even more into the all-familiar jungle.

Along with the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta, the first three games (Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater) will be ported to PlayStation 5 to coincide with the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta. The release window has been given for fall 2023 but no concrete date has been released as of this writing.

Although Metal Gear Delta was announced at the PlayStation showcase, the game will also be available on both Xbox and PC platforms.
