El Chadaille Bitshiabu

Coming from PSG this youngster is a somewhat under-the-radar prospect. As a left-footed CB he is pretty solid at everything and adds some added dynamism to any defense with his left-footed ability.

Antonio Silva

Having played through a Benfica save recently I can personally say that Antonio Silva is a rock solid defender that should be on everyone’s wishlist from day one.  He is already a very strong ball-playing defender who has height and good pace. He is the essential prototype of the modern CB and has more than earned a spot on this list of the best young centre backs in this update.

Giorgio Scalvini

Retaining his place on the list this Italian teenager is still one of the absolute finest prospects in the entire game. Scalvini has already impressed in the Serie A for Atalanta but his potential in FM23 is absolutely through the roof.

Joao Fonseca

Another unearthed gem from my Benfica save was this teenage sensation. At just 15 this Portuguese defender has a very high potential rating. He is certainly one to stash away and develop over time but with patience, he will become an elite defender.

Wisdom Amey

The Serie A is a prime spot for finding some of the best defenders in the game. Wisdom Amey throws his hat into the ring as the Fiorentina teenager is a highly sought-after prospect in the Football Manager world. He’s got solid passing ability already and is tall enough to deal with most aerial threats easily.
