Best Young Left-Backs in FM23

Alphonso Davies

Long-time FM players are well aware of the talent and potential that Alphonso Davies holds. He is quite simply, the perfect left-back. His strengths are an excellent fit for the flank and he has no apparent weaknesses to speak of despite his young age. Prying him away from Bayern Munich may prove impossible, but if he can be bought then he’s a must-buy.

Luke Thomas

The Leicester player has all the raw skills necessary to become a top-tier full-back in any team. He’s got strong crossing ability, a good engine, decent pace, and he can stick his foot in for a solid tackle. He’s another player who will have a massive price tag but signing him from Leicester could be a great move for any top team.

Tom Rothe

Borussia Dortmund continues to be a hotbed for developing talents and FM23 is no different as they house one of the best young left-backs in the game. He’s certainly more of a long-term project than a ready-made starter but he is a versatile, agile player who could dominate down the line.

Fabiano Parisi

Maybe someday I will get through one of these lists without an Italian player making an appearance. This list will not be it however as Parisi is another must-sign left-back. He’s fought hard to earn Serie A minutes already in his young career and in FM23 has all the ability needed to become a top-of-the-line full-back.

Juan Miranda

It almost feels bad raiding these La Liga clubs but due to their mandatory release clauses, they are an easy avenue to pick up young talents. Juan Miranda can be picked up for less than 20 million on his current deal, which is an absolute steal given his on-ball skills.
