What to Know Regarding Persona Games Coming to New Platforms

Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal will be making their way to Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC platforms. The only confirmed release date of the games in question is Persona 5 Royal, which will be landing on Xbox Game Pass on October 21; the remaining two have yet to be confirmed in terms of specific release dates. Persona 3 Portable is perhaps the most interesting, as it’s a PlayStation Portable version that helped popularize the series in North America. Stay tuned to Xbox on various channels to learn when these titles will be hitting Xbox’s services.

The Persona series has become nothing short of a fan favorite, not only due to its RPG elements but unique style, boasting sharp graphics and catchy soundtracks alike. Throughout the series, players focus on the lives of seemingly average teenagers in Japan, who must not only balance their normal lives with their responsibilities to battle demons and other nefarious forces.

As mentioned earlier, the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase focused heavily on titles that will also release on Game Pass. Microsoft’s gaming subscription service isn’t short on classic content, evidenced by such titles as Doom, Banjo-Kazooie, and Fable. The addition of Persona games should be a welcome surprise to not only longtime fans of the franchise but those that have yet to take the plunge. Whether one is a fan of the RPG genre, the presentation of the Persona series alone is worth giving these titles a try.

What is your take on this news? Are you new to the Persona series, looking to dive in, or are you a longtime fan that may wish to revisit one or more of these titles?

As a fan for over 20 years, I strongly believe there's no sport better than professional wrestling. Whether it's writing about the sport I love or meeting those that have impacted it in a major way, I always enjoy myself. Outside of wrestling, I'm into writing, gaming, and tokusatsu.
