After being delayed from its initial 2021 release date we now have a solid Gotham Knights release date. The WB Games Montreal creation will be released on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms on October 25th, 2022.
The announcement came via the official Twitter account for Gotham Knights. The game is scheduled to be released on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Gotham Knights will be an open-world action RPG title. Gamers will take control of various members of the “Bat Family” in Gotham City after the death of Bruce Wayne/Batman and police commissioner Jim Gordon. With crime on the rise Nightwing, Batgirl, Red Hood, and Robin work to restore law and order in Gotham City. The last story trailer for the game was released in 2021. One of the main villains will be the secret “Court of Owls” society which was first introduced as part of the New 52 comic line in 2011 from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo.
The game is being developed by WB Games Montreal and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Although the game does feature some of the same characters from the Batman Arkham Series, the game does not take place in the same universe.
Gotham Knights was originally announced at DC FanDome in 2020 with an initial release date set for 2021. The game was pushed to 2022 with no concrete release date. No pre-order information has been released as of this writing.
Other titles featuring DC Comics characters are also in the works. An open-world Wonder Women game is also in production from Monolith Productions. A brief trailer played during The Game Awards but no release date has been given. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League an open-world game featuring Task Force X is also slated for a 2023 release.
