Back 4 Blood Alpha, Keith Mitchell, Our Most Anticipated Games of 2021

Published on:

This episode of Video Games 2 the MAX features a guest in The Outerhaven founder and writer for Tom’s Hardware Keith Mitchell as he joins Sean Garmer, Marc Morrison, and regulars, Jens Dietrich, and Randy Isbelle. Keith talks about his origins with gaming and games journalism. While also discussing some of his favorite genres. Conversing extensively with Jens about how much he enjoys the Soulsborne games and his favorite Resident Evil titles too. Keith also talks about some of his favorite games from 2020, especially the Demon’s Souls Remake. He also talks a bit about the Back 4 Blood alpha too.

Once again gaming conversation surrounds the uber-popular Cyberpunk 2077 as new news items surface regarding enlarged save files due to too much crafting, which causes them to become corrupted. Not to mention, CD Projekt Red could also face class-action lawsuits due to misleading investors. This also leads to a discussion on the entire saga as a whole from both a consumer and reviewer perspective.

Plus, Defector and Paste Magazine took the controversy involving Cyberpunk 2077 to a new level and at the same time angered many inside both the writing and game development industries. Keith and Sean discuss how the review process actually works in working with PR companies and why NDA’s are not bad. What they are usually for and why sometimes you choose not to sign one. Not to mention, the very real consequences of breaking one that can occur.

Finally, in the main topic, everyone gives their Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2021. How good is Back 4 Blood after Keith played the alpha? Does Final Fantasy XVI actually come out this year? Will Halo Infinite wind up getting canceled on Xbox One consoles? Is Kena: Bridge of Spirits the indie game everyone’s excited about? There are just so many games. There’s certainly something for all in 2021.
