It has been announced by the WWE that as part of the next roster update to WWE 2K Battlegrounds there will be an injection of athletes from the world of sports coming to the squared circle. “Gronkster”, styled after Rob Gronkowski and “Laheem Lillard”, NBA 2K21 cover star Damian Lillard, will be added to the game’s roster.
Gronkowski has history with the WWE as he hosted this year’s WrestleMania event and even won the 24/7 Championship at the event, he made a number of other appearances but none were as notable as his hosting duties at the “Showcase Of The Immortals”. Lillard and Gronkster aren’t the only additions to WWE 2K Battlegrounds as a number of additions were announced.
What Else Is Coming To WWE 2K BattleGrounds
- Haunted House Arena
- Macho Man Randy Savage
- Undertaker – American Badass attire
- Thanksgiving Arena
- Undertaker 30th Anniversary Arena
- Rhea Ripley
- The Boogeyman
- Halloween Circus Arena
- Billie Kay
- Kane
- Andrade
- Survivor Series Arena
- Murphy

- Edge
Unlike EA Sports‘ FIFA series, we hopefully won’t see WWE or 2K get themselves into any image rights issues with the addition of these two athletes as Gronkowski has had dealings with WWE and Lillard likely has a deal in place with 2K thanks to their NBA 2K series.
