Brotato is a 2022 release from Blobfish. The popular Roguelike game revolves around picking your signature bro potato archetype and building on the strengths/weaknesses of said archetype to get as far as possible. In this article, I will be looking at the best course of action for the Mage build.

Mage Build in Brotato

Character Type

The mage build offers a +5 elemental damage boost, elemental damage mods get a 33% boost on impact but takes away ranged and melee damage. This means that you will need to maximise elemental damage with this build.

Weapons

As you can imagine the torch or lightning blade are the best weapons to go with as they are both elemental weapons.

Upgrades

Focus oncollecting items and buffs that add to your defensive solidity. Adding to max HP, HP regen. or life drain can go a long way to keeping you alive. The other thing to focus on is offensive boosts to elemental damage and %damage in order to improve the damage you can deal with your elemental effects.

Winning with the mage build will award you with the powerful Thunder Blade which would make re-runs of this build a tad easier due to its power and improved critical hit rate.
