Players can now claim a new free Minecraft Dungeons II hero cape, as per Mojang’s latest announcement. Ever since the new Minecraft Dungeons II gameplay trailer, the mysterious dimension of Sift has been the talk of the town.
In the Gamescom 2026 showcase, developers from Double Eleven and Mojang Studios showcased a 30-minute-long gameplay demonstration. It showcased a massive shift away from the linear formula of the first game.
Shortly after the Gamescom showcase and the infamous live bug incident during the event, Mojang took to their @dungeonsgame handle on X to announce a free Dungeons II hero cape for players.
While there are other capes that you can technically claim for free through a paid pre-order of the base game or the Deluxe Edition, the Minecraft Dungeons II hero cape is completely free.

How to Claim the Free Minecraft Dungeons II Hero Cape?

Inspired by the classic fantasy design, the deep-red fabric accessory looks strikingly good. Here’s how you can claim that:
- Firstly, you have to play Minecraft Dungeons I.
- Then you have to log in to Minecraft Dungeons II before 31st December 2026.
That’s all you have to do to claim the Free Minecraft Dungeons II Hero Cape. This cape will be available in Java and Bedrock editions.
