Steal An Egg Update 8 has introduced the fascinating Shooting Stars event. This rare event can occur on both private and public servers, giving all eligible players a Star for turning an animal into a mount. Any number of critters can be turned into mounts, provided you have sufficient Stars.

The Shooting Stars event offers every player an opportunity to ride their favorite pet. You can use a Star on a Sabertooth, Tiger, Lava Dragon, Penguin, or any other creature, turning it into a mount for traversing the in-game world.

Details of the Shooting Stars event in Steal An Egg

Every night, there is a small chance of the Shooting Stars event occurring on a Steal An Egg server. The event turns the sky murkier and stars begin falling on the map. Every eligible player gets a Star that they can use on an animal in their base to turn them into a mount.

Unlike eggs, you don’t have to race other players, collect Stars from the map, and bring them to the Safe Zone. The rare event automatically gives every player a Star regardless of their location on the map and pet collection.

Most importantly, to be eligible for receiving a Star, you must be in the server from the start of that in-game day. This means you can hop servers, wait for the in-game day to begin, and hope for the Shooting Stars event to be activated. You can also stay in the game for hours (AFK) till you experience the event.

Since the latest event is entirely RNG-based, players have no power to trigger it on a server. The developers could activate Shooting Stars during an Admin Abuse festivity, though, so make sure to attend the admin events.

If you want more Stars, speak to the Star Handler and purchase up to five Shooting Stars in a week. The purchase limit resets every Saturday.

How to use a Star in Steal An Egg

Using a Star on an animal turns it into a mount. The change is irreversible, so wisely use a Star on your favorite animal, provided you want to ride it around the in-game world.

Follow these instructions to utilize a Star:

Equip the Star from your hotbar.
Approach any animal in your base.
Click on the animal while the Star is equipped to activate the item.
The selected creature will turn into a mount.

Each animal requires one Star for the mount transformation. Even though the Star is consumed upon use, more can be obtained from the Shooting Stars nightly event and the Stellaris NPC.
