frostbite July 13, 2026

Crimson Desert Update 1.13.01 is now live across all platforms, and while it is a smaller patch compared to what Pearl Abyss has pushed out previously, it addresses several issues that were noticeably affecting the experience for a portion of the playerbase. Since launch back in March, the studio has kept a consistent update cadence, and this one continues that pattern with a focused set of fixes and a performance improvement.

Here is the full breakdown of what the Crimson Desert Update 1.13.01 patch addresses.

The update is live right now across every platform:

  • Steam (PC)
  • Steam (Mac)
  • PlayStation
  • Xbox
  • Epic Games Store
  • Mac App Store

Bug Fixes and Improvements

  • Fixed a crash that would occasionally occur when riding a bear.
  • Fixed an issue where characters rendered incorrectly on consoles and AMD-based systems.
  • Fixed a problem where Oongka would not follow Kliff during certain main quest cutscenes.
  • Fixed an issue where challenge completion rewards were not being granted correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Hoenmark Ruins could not be liberated.
  • Fixed a bug where the feed bin amount would not decrease even when nearby livestock were actively eating from it.
  • Improved frame rate drops occurring in certain environments.

The rendering fix for consoles and AMD systems is arguably the most broadly impactful change here in this Crimson Desert Update, as visual inconsistencies on those platforms had been a reported frustration for a number of players. The frame rate improvement is another welcome addition, particularly for areas where performance was not holding up as expected.

The Oongka cutscene fix and the Hoenmark Ruins liberation bug are both progression-related, which makes them worth noting for anyone who may have been stuck or missed those moments entirely because of them.

Pearl Abyss has previously confirmed that major DLC is in development for Crimson Desert, though specific details have not been shared yet. In the meantime, the studio continues to tighten up the base experience with patches like this one.
