VCT 2025 Game Changers NA Stage 1 — Lower Bracket Finals Preview

VCT 2025 Game Changers North America Stage 1 — Lower Bracket Finals came to a definitive end with Wadadaa sweeping Ghost Gaming GC in a commanding 3-0 victory. This result solidified Wadadaa’s dominance in the tournament, proving their earlier performances were no fluke.

Read on for a breakdown of each map.

Map 1: Lotus

Wadadaa opened the series with sheer force on Lotus, taking the first nine rounds in rapid succession. Australis led the charge with a standout ACS of 339, making a strong case for MVP. In contrast, Ghost Gaming struggled to find footing—their team ACS barely broke 125, less than half of Wadadaa’s 243. A lack of synergy and poor assist coordination left them unable to mount any meaningful resistance.

Map 2: Haven

On Haven, Ghost Gaming showed flashes of life. Despite losing the first two rounds, they rebounded in the third. KETARYS stepped up with a strong ACS of 235, nearly matching Wadadaa’s StarBound, who led with 243 ACS. Still, Wadadaa’s tight defensive setups and superior map control proved too much. Ghost simply couldn’t convert their momentum into a sustained push.

Map 3: Ascent

With elimination looming, Ghost Gaming entered Ascent on the back foot. The pressure mounted—and Wadadaa seized the opportunity to close the door. While miyara did her best to pick up the slack after KETARYS’s performance dipped, it wasn’t enough. Wadadaa’s ability to adapt mid-round and maintain site control ultimately crushed any hope of a Ghost comeback.

What’s Next

Wadadaa is now set for a high-stakes rematch against Shopify Rebellion Gold, aiming to rewrite the script and secure their first win over SRG. Their previous clash was hard-fought, and with both teams coming off strong performances, the Grand Final is shaping up to be a closely contested battle. While SRG carries the psychological edge from their earlier victory, Wadadaa’s momentum from a dominant lower bracket run could shift the balance in their favor.
