After obtaining the original 64 eggs you should return to the Egg Chamber. You’ll notice that a previously unopened doorway is now accessible which contains the hidden 65th egg of the game. This egg isn’t like the other eggs it won’t just sit in your collection, it actually has a very specific purpose.
With the 65th egg and all of the extra inventory items in hand return to the spot of the manticore chase. In the upper right of this space you can use The Top to reveal a previously unseen incubation chamber. By putting the 65th egg in this chamber, you will spawn a second manticore to proceed with the true ending.
