FM24 Winter Update Top 10 Best Centre Back Wonderkids to Sign

Castello Lukeba

As FM has gone on Lukeba has become a sure bet to become one of the best defenders in the entire world. He was previously neck and neck with Scalvini but in newer updates his potential is a hint better than the Italian. The Leipzig man was signed this past summer from Lyon and has shown his quality time and again.

Giorgio Scalvini

A holdover from FM23 and survivor of the Winter Update, Scalvini is still an elite wonderkid prospect but has been knocked off his perch as number one CB by Lukeba despite two seasons of first team involvement with Serie A side Atalanta.

Levi Colwill

After an impressive loan spell with Brighton last year the Englishman has been a staple for Chelsea this season, fulfilling the massive potential he has shown since making his way to the Premier League. He has retained his sky-high ceiling in FM through the latest update.

Illia Zabarnyi

Another stellar talent from Ukraine’s latest crop of players, Zabarnyi was recruited as part of Bournemouth’s youth drive in recent windows and has been  a mainstay for the side this season. He was a high potential player early in FM24 and has remained a top young CB in the latest update.

Antonio Silva

Seasoned Football Manager players will be familiar with Benfica’s young stud Silva. He is the epitome of a modern CB with height, pace, and passing ability.

Chadi Riad

The Real Hipsalis man has been one to watch in this year’s edition and is one of the go-to defenders for top teams. The Moroccan is on loan from Barcelona after being poached at youth levels from Mallorca and has just made his full debut for his nation. Everything is looking up for the 20-year-old.

Jorrel Hato

It isn’t a football game if there aren’t Ajax youngsters ripe for the picking. The 17-year-old is one of the youngest Wonderkid prospects on the defensive side of the pitch but his potential is through the roof if you can stick with him through his development.

Ousmane Diomande

The Ivorian CB has been gaining real-life attention for some top clubs thanks to his performance for Sporting CP. He is a ball playing defender who can play in a back three.

Leny Yoro

One if the biggest risers throughout this year’s game is Lille starlet Leny Yoro. The 17-year-old is one of a number of top young talents in Ligue 1 this year and now has the potential to be one of the top defenders in the game.

Jeanuel Belocian

Another riser from Ligue 1 this time we have Rennes defender Belocian. The 18-year-old has seen his potential get even higher after the latest update and could form a strong partnership with a number of other names on this list for over a decade.
