Top 5 New Centre Back Wonderkids in FM24 Winter Update
Mauro Perkovic
From the same club and country that produces Josko Gvardiol, we have left-sided centre back Mauro Pekovic who has the potential to be a top tier defender in the new update. Perkovic falls just below the original crop of CB wonderkids in the game but in a rather weak market he is a welcome addition.
Jarell Quansah
Playing for a top club at a young age is a great way to get yourself earmarked as a wonderkid and that’s the reality with Quansah. He took to the pitch for the Reds during the Carabao Cup Final win over Chelsea and has made 21 appearances across all competitions in this campaign.
Nasser Djiga
It’s been a while since Basel have been on the radar of many fans but wonderkid Nasser Djiga could put them back on the map despite their poor performance domestically. His current potential puts him alongside the much more expensive familiar face of Devyne Rensch, he’s just that good.
Christian Mawissa
Ligue 1 is a real proving ground for young talent in recent years and breakout star Christian Mawissa is one such name to benefit. Toulouse have been blessed with some great young talents in this year’s version of the game with 18-year-old Mawissa haveing the potential to be a top Premier League defender in the latest update.
Jan-Carlo Simic
Simic currently plies his trade for AC Milan which should already raise eyebrows. The Italian giants are one of football’s most well known institutions and have had many legendary defenders step onto the pitch in their colours over the years. The newest update has shot Simic up into the higher echelon of young defenders where he can make his mark on one of football’s most iconic teams.
