Published on:

Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical is, as the name suggests, an interesting addition to the gaming world that can be picked up over on Steam. The game has a romantic side that sees the player choose between four potential suitors as the story plays out. For that reason, I have put together this Stray Gods romance guide which will outline who can be romanced and how to stay on their good side.

Stray Gids Romance Guide

Apollo

Apollo is quite the tragic character, he’s pretty down on himself over his failure to save Calliope so he’s kind of a fixer-upper. That said, he’s got beauty and a need to be brought out of his funk.

Like the other characters, you will need to select all of the options with a heart next to them to advance his romance story. With Apollo, there is one specific turning point to be aware of. There will be a major confrontation between Apollo and Persephone, after this, you’ll be asked to go after one or the other. Choose Apollo if you want to continue his romance arc.

Freddie

Freddie is the lifelong best friend of our MC Grace. They’ve been stuck together since the beginning and now they’re even in a band together! If you’ve ever wanted to see an enemies-to-lovers story play out in a video game then this is the obvious romance option for you.

Like most characters, you will need to select the options with hearts next to them in order to continue the romance. For Freddie specifically, there is one section where the player faces the choice to let her go or to keep her around. If you choose to let her go then you can’t romance Freddie.

Pan

Pan is an interesting and layered character with a really bad reputation that alters how he acts. Choosing his romance route will enable the player to get a deeper understanding of him than just what’s on the surface.

Like the others, you will need to select the options with hearts next to them in order to start the romance arc with Pan. For him specifically, his character will be brought into question by others throughout the game, if you choose to defend him from their criticisms then you can continue romancing him.

Persephone

Tall, buff, trendy undercut, looks annoyed all the time, that’s Persephone for you. She’s the classic case of a rough exterior not matching the personality as she’s a lovely person really. She can appear prickly and distant at first but by wearing away her defenses she’ll warm up to Grace over time.

Once again, you will need to select the options with hearts next to them in order to start the romance story. For her specific story, there is one important choice to make. She and Apollo will have a big confrontation, afterwards, you’ll have to choose to follow Persephone if you want to finish her romance arc.
