F1 23 Las Vegas Setup Walkthrough
Circuit
The Las Vegas track is one of the more interesting ones on the F1 calendar. It has long straights as well as some difficult turning sections, it is also a newer addition to the season which means it has yet to be fully optimised. That said, I’ll attempt to put together a strong setup for this track based on what we know about it currently.
Aerodynamics
Due to the long straights on this track, you can go for a lower downforce setup to make the most of these speed sections. If you have trouble with corners, however, it may benefit you to stick to a higher downforce setup so you don’t lose precious seconds turning. This is one of the few times I’ll leave it up to the reader’s discretion as the best option here really depends on your own skills.
Transmission
Reduce the on-throttle settings for this track. This will help you deal with the sharp corners better.
Suspension Geometry
Set this to fairly balanced while being conservative on toe. Setting up a high camber angle is unnecessary.
Suspension
Opt for a softer suspension this time as this street track is sure to test your car’s stability.
Brakes
Use maximum brake pressure to help with the sharp turns but retain a balanced braking bias so you don’t overload one half of the car.
Tyres
Rear traction and high speed will be crucial to success in Las Vegas. Reduce tyre pressure on the rear as they will be under more pressure for the duration of the race.
