Team Fortress 2 Characters Guide: Ranked for Health & Speed

Team Fortress 2 has been a titan of online gaming for over a decade now. The 2007 release still has almost 100,000 players every day despite its age. In this Team Fortress 2 Characters guide, I will be detailing which unit has the most health and which is fastest at its base point.

As there are a number of scenarios that can change these rankings I am focusing on the base character as that usually gives a good indication of who is the most useful no matter what.

Team Fortress 2 Characters

Most Base Health

  1. Heavy – 300 HP
  2. Soldier – 200 HP
  3. Pyro, Demoman – 175 HP
  4. Medic – 150 HP
  5. Sniper, Engineer, Spy, Scout – 125 HP

Most Base Speed

  1. Scout
  2. Medic, Spy
  3. Sniper, Engineer, Pyro
  4. Demoman
  5. Soldier
  6. Heavy

There are items and scenarios that can change this speed wildly as the Demoman actually has the fastest movement speed in the game but only when charging with a shield. Otherwise, for normal movement the Scout is quickest.
