One of the original icons of the Xbox console is now a playable character in Epic Games’ mammoth free-for-all battle royale game as Fortnite has added a Master Chief skin to their item store.  Master Chief is more commonly known as the mascot for the Halo series which helped propel the Xbox to success in its early days.  Now he is available to play as in Fortnite as either a suit or a full set

Master Chief Skin Added To Item Shop

Fortnite had this to say in their official announcement

Part of the Gaming Legends series, the Master Chief set is now available in the Item Shop. Chief among this set is the Master Chief Outfit, available individually or in the Master Chief Bundle with the rest of the set. Suit up in the MJOLNIR Powered Assault Armor and become a SPARTAN-II.

In battle, make your landing with the UNSC Pelican Glider, a miniature Pelican carrier. And cover your back with the Battle Legend Back Bling, a holographic Elite skull which serves as a trophy of the Chief’s exploits.

Also, when harvesting, batter like a Brute with the Gravity Hammer Pickaxe

When you play a match on Xbox Series X|S after purchasing the Master Chief Outfit, you’ll unlock the Outfit’s Matte Black Style  — a memento of his Xbox history.

The Master Chief skin did not come alone though as there will also be the option to slip into Chief’s world as Fortnite Creative will have a recreation of a classic multiplayer map that Halo fans should be used to.

Fortnite continues to stand atop the gaming world as it adds characters from various different series’ that gamers will remember fondly.  Much like Smash Bros., they progressively add characters to regain buzz that naturally gets lost as time passes and new games release.
