Former MPL PH and M6 world champions Onic Philippines and the revamped AP.Bren opened up week 2 of MPL Philippines Season 16. Yet in the end, it was the experience of Onic that made them victorious to get win number 2 of their season run.

Game 1: It’s Onic Time
Onic got the early game advantage over AP.Bren after scoring 3 kills to 1 in the early game. This went on to be the story up to the mid-game after establishing a 5,000-gold lead and increasing Onic’s skill score to 11 against the 3 of AP.Bren.
The late game saw a careful yet tactical strike from Onic to close the game with a dominant kill score of 16-3 and hitting the base on the 16-minute mark of the game. Kirk using Phoveus was named the MVP of the game after scoring a KDA of 8/0/5 and 81 percent kill participation.
Game 2: Sweet Sweep
Game 2 was much of a closer fight compared to game 1 after both teams scored 3 kills apiece in the early game. The close-match intensity continued till the mid to late game, with AP.Bren even outscoring Onic in a kill score of 8-7.
But Onic did not let the younger team snatch the win after a powerful comeback in the final Lord push towards AP.Bren’s base, closing out the game with 12 kills to 8 during the 14-minute mark. Kirk was once again the game MVP but used Arlott this time around, scoring a KDA of 0/2/12 on 100 percent kill participation.
