Tales of The Shire Steam Deck Performance Analysis
Tales of the Shire launches without issue which is a good initial sign. Issues with getting the Deck to launch games usually points to a poor port, or a flat-out broken experience that’s liable to crash. The issue comes along after this initial burst of activity.
Unfortunately, the game has a lot of problems on Steam Deck and even the Switch during gameplay. It suffers from some visual lag which isn’t too bad but can get tiresome for those wanting a smoother experience.
On top of that, there’s issues with bugs and glitches with the occasional crash, meaning that the experience on portable consoles is far from ideal.
All in all, Tales of the Shire currently isn’t the best option for Deck players. There’s a chance it could get updated in future and run well but as of now it’s plagued with freezing, bugs, crashes, and enough issues to make it a chore to play.
