Excitement continues to build in the gaming space as Nintendo prepares to launch their flagship console, Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5th 2025. According to a recent article on nintendo.com, physical and digital copies of certain Switch 1 games will have performance issues. Nintendo claims this stems from the hardware differences between the Switch 1 and the Switch 2. Issues with these titles ranges from start-up all the way to completely unplayable sections of games.

Launch Titles To Look Out For
Despite the fact that some of your favorite titles may have some functional issues, Nintendo will aims to release some fun new titles to make full use of the Nintendo Switch 2’s capabilities. Nintendo will blend releases of first-party behemoths, enhanced “Switch 2 Edition” titles and third-party ports. Debuting alongside the console on launch day, Mario Kart World, introduces racers to a new open-world like never before seen in the series. Up to 24 drivers can compete for the podium finish with new modes such as Knockout Tour and Free Roam.

Additionally, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour releases as a paid interactive demo to showcase the consoles features. As well as Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, being the action franchises’ Nintendo debut.
