Japanese Drift Master Steam Deck Performance Guide

Some players have noted that you have to change the Deck launcher to Proton Experimental to even get this game to play which is already a bad sign. As experienced Deck users know, games not launching easily is usually a sure fire way to know that they aren’t optimised at all.

And ths game follows that line of thinking. Japanese Drift Master is an overwhelming experience for the portable console. The graphical demands are very high leading to visual lag and very low frame rate drops.

The title is a drain on the device and will eat up power while heating up a lot.

This is one game that you should absolutely avoid on the Steam Deck. It can play, but it will be too demanding on the device to last and visually it will suffer greatly. It’s not even one that you can mess with to get it working at a lower output, it is what it is and will be a pain in your ass on the Deck.
