Mini-Sub

In the late game, you can get a mini-sub that has an Automatic net Bomb. With these two you should be able to catch copious amounts of tuna with ease.

Sensor Bomb Trap

You can buy a Sensor Bomb Trap from the shop. It is explained in a tutorial that this is a great item for catching tuna so whenever you can afford it I recommend giving this a whirl.

Killing Tuna

Tuna are fast which makes them tough to kill by yourself but with an upgraded harpoon and a high-quality air tank, you can get one-hit kills and spend more time underwater chasing them down. If you have a pistol you can also take them out with just a few shots.

You can also upgrade the sniper rifle to become a sleepy sniper which will put the tuna to sleep after your first hit, making it a sitting duck for you to catch.
