Epic Games has confirmed that the Fortnite x One Piece collaboration is on the roadmap, putting an end to the rumors. The company used the official X handle of Fortnite to post a clip showing the Going Merry vessel. On the same day, before revealing the clip, the account posted “The greatest adventure of all! 11.1” to seemingly hint at One Piece tied to the Treasure Hunters mini-season.
Here’s what we speculate about the forthcoming collaboration and its release date.
Fortnite x One Piece collaboration confirmed
Epic Games recently posted a clip featuring a silhouette of a ship with a ram figurehead floating in foggy waters. The ship is the Going Merry, the first vessel used by Monkey D. Luffy and his crew to sail the Grand Line in the One Piece manga and anime. Confirming the upcoming collab are the logos of Fortnite and One Piece next to each other in the middle.
One Piece skins and bundles are expected to arrive in the next Fortnite season. Currently, the Fortnitemares festvities are on a roll, with popular games and movie franchises like 99 Nights in the Forest, Obsession, and Nightmare on Elm Street partaking in the event.
In all likelihood, the Fortnite x One Piece collaboration could be associated with the Treasure Hunters mini-season. This pirate-themed season is slated to kick off in November, concluding Chapter 7, and it will lay the ideal groundwork for the pirates in One Piece to arrive in the game.
There is no official information about the upcoming skins and content. However, a recent discovery on X by HYPEX, a reliable source for Fortnite-related information, shows bounty posters of several One Piece characters in London. The featured characters include:
- Portgas D. Ace
- Monkey D. Luffy
- Jonesy
- Hope
The aforementioned characters could pop up as skins in the Fortnite online market. Players may also witness skins for Nami, Usopp, and Zoro appearing in the store, given that they are the “OG” members of the Straw Hats Crew created by Luffy.
Last Word on Fortnite x One Piece
As November 1 gets close, more leaks and official information about the upcoming collaboration may do the rounds on social media. Fortnite x One Piece will lean on the anime and manga side of things because the Going Merry in the clip was based on the work from Toei Animation.
