The poison- and dark-type legendary pokemon Eternatus is coming back in Pokemon GO this November. Players have nine days to catch it this time. On 7th October 2026, @thepokemodgroup took to their official X account to share the Pokemon GO Eternatus return leak.

Eternatus was first introduced in Pokemon GO back on 18th August 2025. Players got the chance to catch just one Eternatus by finishing tasks and reaching rank 60 in GO Pass: Max Finale.

A few days later, Eternatus made its comeback through Max Battles. Players who didn’t get to encounter and catch Eternatus through the GO Pass: Max Finale participated in the Max Battles to catch the legendary dual-type pokemon for the first time. On the other hand, players who already had theirs from the pass only received Eternatus candy and candy XL from these battles.

After the wrap-up of Pokemon GO Fest Mega Finale on 2025, @PokemonGOApp took to their X to mention that the legendary Pokemon will make its return soon.

With GO Wild Area just around the corner, everything is lined up for the return of legendary Pokemon.

The Return of Eternatus in Pokemon GO

As per the announcement from @thepokemodgroup, Eternatus is expected to be back in Pokemon GO during GO Wild Area. As per the announcement, trainers will have the chance to catch the legendary Pokémon from 14th November to 23rd November 2026.

From 6th November to 8th November 2026, we will have the in-person GO Wild Area events in Sendai, Japan, and Mexico City, Mexico. The Pokemon GO Wild Area Global, on the other hand, is scheduled for 14th November to 15th November 2026. Therefore, Eternatus will be a feature in the Global version of the Wild Area event.

As of now, it has not yet been leaked whether Eternatus will be available via Pass, research story, Max Battles, or raids. But given that we have already seen it featured in Pass and Max Battles, an introduction through raids will certainly be a fresh turn.

With that being said, nothing is certain as of now. Pokemon GO is yet to make an official statement confirming the return of the legendary dual-type. Therefore, take these leaks with a grain of salt.

Last Word on Eternatus Returning in Pokemon GO

The last time Eternatus was here in Pokemon GO, not all trainers had the chance to catch the legendary Pokemon. As the Pokémon was introduced through Max Finale Pass and Max Battles, many remote players missed out on getting it on time.

Therefore, introducing Eternatus through raids will certainly open doors for a lot of trainers to catch the legendary Pokémon and max it out using resources. While not leaked or officially announced, the possibility of having Eternatus in its shiny form in Pokemon GO makes the Wild Area 2026 even more exciting.
