Jubilee joined Marvel Rivals in Season 9 as a Strategist. This makes this season a non-Duelist season if The Hood is indeed a Vanguard, as the leaks have suggested so far. The brand new X-Men member is the 13th character in the Strategist role and switches things up quite a bit. Unlike Ultron, Gambit, and White Fox, she doesn’t bring a whole new way of playing the role, but has a significant impact on the overall meta of the game, as NetEase Games probably intended.

Jubilee in Marvel Rivals Season 9 Changes Things
Jubilation Lee uses her molecular explosion mutant powers to heal her allies. However, don’t underestimate her fireworks because she can blind any enemy and put her divers in a vulnerable state! Although Jubilee is not an anti-dive support in Marvel Rivals Season 9, she is one of the better options if your team requires poke damage, offensive ultimate abilities, and the enemy team has a weak or single dive hero.
Jubilee’s anti-dive capabilities can be compared to heroes like Cloak & Dagger, where the character relies heavily on the team’s assist and CC abilities to escape divers or flankers. As far as her healing is concerned, it is disappointing to say, but Jubilee’s healing output is not on par with primary healers like Invisible Woman, Gambit, or Luna Snow. This is not to say that she can’t be a primary healer in a two-support composition, though.
So where does The Explosive Firecracker exactly fit in the meta? The X-Men’s most cheerful member may not be a ban-worthy pick in Marvel Rivals Season 9, but she is a strong hero to main if your team composition has at least one frontline shield tank, at least one Duelist who can peel against divers, and another primary healer. Any composition besides this may not be viable in high elo, but as usual, this is subject to player skills, enemy team’s skill and counter-picking, and regional player behaviours.
