If you need to prepare for battle and know your nest will be coming under attack, then it makes the most sense to prioritise the wood barrier and nest gunners upgrades. Veteran Nest Gunners are a good upgrade after reaching higher tiers and will provide strong turret damage support.
There’s some obvious upgrades too like the storage expansion,woodyard, and mushroom farm which improve your production of the key resources the game requires.
As far as going on the offensive, getting the Super Predator as quickly as possible can help reshape your attack.
