Like a lot of other raw materials in the game this is one that can be found at random points but only during meteorite storms. It can also be found in some storage lockers but those are both heavily reliant on RNG and can be less successful methods.

This material can be found in a number of caves throughout the map but only some allow you to use an Ore Extractor to mine a large amount:

  • Boulder Desert Ice Cave (no extractor)
  • Derelict Desert Passage Ice Cave (no extractor)
  • Sand Falls Ice Cave (no extractor)
  • Spike Canyon Ice Cave
  • Sulfur Valley Ice Cave

The last two can have an Ore Extractor used (as long as it is T2 or better) and will provide more Osmium than the rest but that doesn’t mean the others shouldn’t be used if you’re nearby as they have other materials that will prove useful in the game.
