EA Play Subscription Price Will Be Increased

EA has announced they will increase the price of the EA Play subscription service. This subscription gives players access to the library of EA games and was launched back in 2020.

Subscription Fee of EA Play Increased

Previously players could get a standard monthly subscription to EA Play for the price of $4.99 per month and $29.99 per year. Now, that price has increased to $5.99 per month and $39.99 per year.

As for EA Play Pro, the rate of increase is higher. The monthly price of the Pro subscription has changed from $14.99 to $16.99 and its yearly price has changed from $99.99 to $119.99. However, this price may be different depending on your region and place of residency.

By getting this subscription players could enjoy Need for Speed UnboundThe Sims 4Madden NFL23, and It Takes Two just to name a few.

According to GameIndustry.biz, the currently subscribed members of the subscription has stated that they have received an email stating the price of subscriptions will be increased on 10th May 2024.

The reason behind this increase could be inflation or simply balancing the price of subscriptions for different regions. However, this is not the only subscription that increased their prices. Last June, Microsoft also increased the price of Xbox Game Pass in certain regions, while Sony pushed up the annual price of their PlayStation Plus membership.

Overall, the price of games and subscriptions are getting increased. First, it was the price of AAA games that changed from $59.99 to $69.99, and now the price of different subscription plans provided by different companies.
