Cities Skylines 2 Hydroelectric Dam
The Problem
The issue a lot of people have had with the dam is there’s no efficiency even when placed in areas with enough of a water current to make it work. Others have had an overflow issue while some have even reported that the dam doesn’t even fill, or takes too long to fill.
Cities Skylines 2 Hydroelectric Dam Solution
The best way to navigate the dams in this title are as follows. On the side where the water is processed and goes through the turbine to generate electricity, raise the ground level to just below the turbines. This will give you a constant flow of water through to generate electricity.
For the other side, dig as deep as possible and make a reservoir as wide as the dam possibly allows to prevent any overflow issues. With these two in place the dam should begin generating electricity and keep the water flowing without any issues. It’s not guaranteed to work at 100% capacity but it will mark an improvement on what some players have reported.
