No Man’s Sky How to Get Staff
You will have to actively reach the section of the game where the Echoes content begins to even think of getting the staff. Chances are if you’re here then you’ve already met the Autophage and that’s not an issue for you but if it is you’ll have to do some more of the game’s main missions before learning how to get the staff.
Once you have started the mission “They who Returned” you can begin the process of assembling the staff. You must find the Autophage camp in the system and use your scanner to unearth the never-before-seen race of robots. The key is to visit different autophage camps as trading your Void Motes at different camps will provide you with different components.
Using the Autophage Synthesis Terminal you can build your staff with the components you’ve received. You can only choose three components to make up the staff but these can be changed later to create a better tool.
