In the Marvel Rivals Season 9 trailer, we saw Apocalypse being set up as the primary season villain. However, by the end of that trailer, the viewers saw him getting stabbed in the back by a sword, marking his demise and starting the Seasonal Event “Death of Apocalypse”. This will reveal the mystery behind the death of En Sabah Nur and grant players a reward they will cherish.

Solving Death of Apocalypse in Marvel Rivals Season 9
The investigative event will only begin once players have completed all three cases. This means that they will have to complete Case One: Wolverine, Case Two: Psylocke, and Case Three: Gambit in no particular order to unlock the final tomb in the middle. Once done, players can click the tomb to arrive on an interactive investigation board with three major clues gathered from the three above-mentioned cases. Assigning each clue to the right location on the board is the key to completing the investigation.
Use the clues in the following order:
- The hand figure will go on the left
- The ghost figure will go on the top right
- The Phoenix silhouette will go on the bottom right
Once completed, the game will gift players a Gallery Card for the lore and will also reveal the mystery behind Apocalypse’s death and tease the identity of his assailant. Moreover, it’s a teaser for one of the potential Season 10 heroes. Lastly, players will also get 100 Units for free! Just by completing this event. This blue currency is yours to claim and can be used in the in-game Store.
